How It's Made
Every item we craft is truly one of a kind, a reflection of time-honored craftsmanship and careful attention to detail.
- Handmade Patterns – All of our patterns are original designs. We’ve invested countless hours designing, testing, and refining each pattern to ensure it meets our exacting standards for function, durability, and aesthetic. Every curve, pocket, and fold is thoughtfully planned to create a product that works beautifully in everyday life.
- Hand Cut – Each piece of leather is cut by hand, giving us precise control over every edge and ensuring that the natural character of the hide is preserved. Occasionally, certain components may be pre-cut, but the vast majority of our products are hand-trimmed for exacting quality.
- Prepared By Hand – Every leather piece is carefully prepared before assembly. This can include edge beveling, dyeing, burnishing, or edge painting, depending on the design. Some hides arrive pre-dyed, while others are finished in-house, allowing us to control color, texture, and finish to achieve a uniform yet natural look.
- Hand Assembled – Each component is fixed into place using high-quality leather contact cement. No tape or shortcuts are used—every joint is made to last. The assembly process ensures that each item is solid, reliable, and built for real-world use.
- Hand Stitched – Every seam is saddle-stitched by hand, a technique where two needles cross in every hole to create a locking stitch. This method produces the strongest, most durable hold possible, far superior to machine stitching. For example, the average bifold wallet requires nearly 10 feet of thread and dozens of careful, precise stitches.
From start to finish, our process combines traditional handcrafting techniques with premium materials, creating leather goods that are not just functional but heirloom-quality pieces built to last a lifetime.
